Compatibility & FAQ

Will the Paslode GS-16 1-3/4" Galvanized Staple | Contractor Pack fit my coil roofing nailer?
These are standard 15° wire-collated coil nails — they fit virtually all major coil roofing nailers including Bostitch RN46, MAX CN445R3, Hitachi/Metabo HPT NV45AB2, and DeWalt DCN45RN. If your nailer accepts 15° coils in the listed length range, you're good.
Smooth, ring-shank, or screw-shank — which do I need?
Smooth shank is fine for asphalt shingle in low-wind zones. Ring shank is required by most building codes in high-wind / hurricane regions (FBC and Miami-Dade) for serious uplift resistance. When in doubt, go ring shank.
How many nails per square of shingles?
Plan on roughly 320 nails per square at 4 nails per shingle, or about 480 per square at 6 nails per shingle (high-wind nailing pattern). Order one extra box per square to cover waste and ridge cap.
