Why Senco still earns space in pro roofers' trucks
American factory, American parts pipeline
Senco was founded in Cincinnati in 1948 and was one of the original pneumatic fastener brands. Today it's owned by Kyocera, but the parts pipeline is what kept the brand sticky with pros: drivers, O-rings, and bumpers for nailers from the 1990s are still on the shelf.
For roofers who buy a gun expecting it to last 15 years, that pipeline matters more than another half-pound saved.
RoofPro 455XP — the daily driver
The RoofPro 455XP drives 7/8" through 1-3/4" wire-collated coil roofing nails at 70–120 PSI. Tool-less depth adjustment, contact and sequential trigger, magnesium housing rated for production volume.
It's slightly heavier than a Bostitch RN46 (5.6 vs 4.9 lbs) but the build is unmistakably tougher — magnesium where the Bostitch is aluminum.
Compatible fasteners
Standard 15° wire-collated coil — same nail that fits every other major roofing nailer. We recommend 1-1/4" hot-dipped galvanized for everyday shingle work, ring shank for high-wind code zones, and stainless for coastal or cedar.
